Challenge: Through a custom-built Digital Exchange, Avista’s Energy Innovation Lab provides the capability to securely share utility data with partners and industry while protecting customer privacy and sensitive data. This capability is designed to help increase collaboration and accelerate energy innovation initiatives.

Opportunity: Urbanova has worked under contract to Avista to provide cloud-based programming services that enhance and improve the Digital Exchange. Notable features completed by Urbanova include static and streaming data asset management, secure sharing across organizations in data collaboratives, and a Python software development kit that expands data access capabilities.
